Abbi Bennett

 As an award-winning sports anchor and reporter, I’m passionate about telling the stories that bring athletes, teams, and fans together. Whether in the studio or on the sidelines, I strive to capture the energy, emotion, and impact of sports at every level. After anchoring and reporting in Colorado for three years, I’m now expanding my reach to new markets while continuing to deliver dynamic, authentic sports coverage. 

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I graduated in May of 2022 from The University of Oklahoma (“OU”) with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sports Management. Although my parents were both UT Longhorns, as soon as I stepped foot on the OU campus, I knew Norman, Oklahoma would be my ideal home for the next four years. 

I grew up playing as many sports as possible but found my heart and soul on the soccer field. Soccer provided me with the opportunity to compete at the highest levels and meet people of many cultures and backgrounds.

Somewhat persuaded by my dad, I first followed the Dallas professional sports teams, and quickly became a lifetime fan of the Cowboys, Mavericks, Stars and Rangers. 

The future… how great would it be to follow in the footsteps of Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson, and Jenny Taft.
